Healthy smooth, satisfying and delicious homemade almond butter you will spend very little to make.

Food processor or powerful blender
1cupraw unbleached almonds
2Tbspraw organic agaveoptional
Place raw unbleached almonds in a good food processor or strong blender preferably a Vitamix blender. If using a food processor start by chopping the almond and pulsing them coarsely before pureeing them. However, if using a blender start blending on low speed until the almonds are coarsely chopped or powdery. Increase the speed gradually until you get a smooth paste. Blend more to your preferred consistency.
Add sea salt and agave or any preferred sweetener if you like and blend a little more to combine the ingredients. Transfer the batter from the food processor or blender to a clean airtight glass container and store in the refrigerator.
Keep this homemade almond butter refregirated to prevent it from hardening or separating.
