Raw Almond butter recipe

Healthy smooth, satisfying and delicious homemade almond butter you will spend very little to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw unbleached almonds
  • ½ tsp sea salt optional
  • 2 Tbsp raw organic agave optional

Instructions

  1. Place raw unbleached almonds in a good food processor or strong blender preferably a Vitamix blender. If using a food processor start by chopping the almond and pulsing them coarsely before pureeing them. However, if using a blender start blending on low speed until the almonds are coarsely chopped or powdery. Increase the speed gradually until you get a smooth paste. Blend more to your preferred consistency.
  2. Add sea salt and agave or any preferred sweetener if you like and blend a little more to combine the ingredients. Transfer the batter from the food processor or blender to a clean airtight glass container and store in the refrigerator.

Keep this homemade almond butter refregirated to prevent it from hardening or separating.
