How to make vegan cashew cream.A cream made from only three simple ingredients
I make my creamy Vegan Cashew cream comes using raw cashew nuts. Even though, it is creamy and rich; it is cholesterol free and healthy.
I have always had difficulties finding a vegan cream at my local grocery store. Most of the time I would be forced to go to a whole food store which is further away from my house.
One day I became curious and decided to check the ingredient label of my store bought cream. I realized that cashew was one of the ingredients. Oh my! I didn’t know that cashews could be used to make such delicious rich cream.Since then I make my cashew cream, I don’t have to drive to the store to get it, and you know what- that saves me some gas and time.
Why use Creamy Vegan Cashew Cream?
Cashew cream is a good substitute for dairy cream. It is free of cholesterol, has heart-healthy monounsaturated fats and has high contents of magnesium. If you want to cut some calories and lose some weight, then this is the cream to use.
I react to dairy products hence I decided to learn how to make dairy-free food substitutes. This creamy vegan cashew cream is among the recipes I have successfully made and like very much. The taste is authentic, it is truly rich and creamy.
Normally I add my creamy vegan cashew cream to my sauces and salad recipes. I also add it to some of my breakfast recipes, and it is delicious.

Cashew cream recipe
- 1 Cup soaked raw cashews
- Two tsp nutritional yeast powder
- ½ cup of water.
- Two cloves of garlic optional
- One tsp salt.
- Sort, then wash one cup of raw cashew and place in a bowl. Add two cups of cold water and soak overnight.
- 2 Drain the water and add your cashews and the other ingredients in the blender or food processor.
- Blend at high speed until smooth. Add small amounts of water at a time, until you get the right consistency you want.
- Pour the cream in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator or use as desired.
- It can keep in the refrigerator for seven days.
You can make this creamy vegan cashew cream savory or sweet depending on your preference. Personally, I like it plain since I add to most of my dishes. Feel free to alter the ingredients and make it any way you like.
If you like to have it savory, then just add some lemon juice to the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth.
For the sweet option, you will need;
2 Tbsp honey or any sweetener of your choice
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup soaked raw cashew
1/2 cup water
2 Tbsp nutritional yeast
1 tsp salt
2 Gloves of garlic (optional)
Add all the ingredients in a blender and thereafter blend until smooth. Remember to add water a little bit at a time while blending.
Blend on high speed until you get the desired thickness consistency you want. Do not pour all the water in the mixture immediately because the cream may become too runny.
