It is helpful to rinse your face using warm water before applying the mask on the skin. Warm water helps to open your skin pores and makes it easy for the ingredients to penetrate your skin and trap toxins.
You will experience some tingling or a little irritation on the skin when the mask starts to dry. The slight irritation is typical and will go away once you wash it off.
If you apply this mask for the first time on your face, do a skin patch test on your hand’s palm or back. If you experience any unpleasant reaction that lasts for more than 10 minutes, wash it off immediately and do not use it again.
How to make activated charcoal face mask.
2 Tbsp activated charcoal powder
1 ripe avocado( Pitted)
1 Tbsp Aloe Vera gel
4 drops tea tree essential oil.
1. Mash the ripe pitted avocado in a small bowl until smooth
2. Add the activated charcoal powder and makes brown
3. Add aloe vera gel and four drops of tea tree essential oil. Mix all the ingredients well until you achieve a thick paste. Do not make it runny or too sticky.
5. Rinse your face using warm water to open your skin pores. Pat dry and apply the thick paste all over your face avoiding the eyes and mouth area.
6. Leave the mask on the skin surface for about 5-10 minutes or until it dries.
7. Wash off using warm water. Cleanse your face with an excellent facial cleansing soap and finally rinse in cold water.
8. Pat dry your face. Apply your favorite face moisturizer.
Note: Do this two to three times a week to achieve more precise and smoother skin.
You can as well use lemon juice or tomato juice instead of aloe Vera gel. These also work well mostly for people with normal or less sensitive skin. Do not add these if you have sensitive skin.
